OUR HAIR

Q: What is virgin hair?

A: Virgin hair is hair that has not been dyed, bleached, straightened, or chemically treated in any way. All of our hair is in it's natural state when cut, with the cuticle intact and aligned in the same direction. This prevents the hair from matting and tangling. All hair from The Vanity Box can be bleached and styled with hot tools up to 450 degrees fahrenheit, just like your natural hair. We guarantee that our hair is 100% human hair.

Q: How much hair is in each bundle?

A: Hair from The Vanity Box comes in bundles weighing about 110 grams or between 3.2 and 4 ounces.

Q: How much hair will I need?

A: For a full install, you will need 3 bundles if using lengths shorter than 22 inches. For hair measuring 22 inches or longer, it is recommended to use 4 bundles. For lengths 30 inches or longer, you will need 5 bundles.

Q: How long will the hair last?

A: With proper care, our hair extensions will last a year or more. Lace closures usually last between 2-3 months. Because of the unique and delicate craftsmanship, lace frontals have a shorter life span of 4-6 weeks or 1-2 uses, and typically need to be re-applied and strictly maintained in order to get the full wear. Although versatile and flexible, Lace frontals are considered "temporary styles" in comparison to a lace closure. To ensure that you are protecting your investment, The Vanity Box provides a hair care maintenance guide on our site to make sure that you get the most out of your beautiful virgin hair.
